suance of the Mini n g Laws o f t h e U u i ted
States, Milton Stevens, of Grant coun
ty, Oregon, claiming tvreoty (20) acres
of placer mining ground, designated as
Lot No. 108, being situated in Granite
Creek Mining District, said County and
State, has raadt application to the
United States for a patent to said
claim which is more fully described us
to mbts and bounds by the official plat
herewith prepented posted and by the
Held notes of Survey thereof now on
file in the Office of the Register of the
District Land, subject t Kile at
La Grand, Oregon, which field notes of
aurvey desoribe aid claim in relation to
a natural object, as follow-: commen
cing at a bluff of rock on the south side
of Granite Creek, the same being
permanent and natural object, thence
tunning the line of survey north 32
deg. E, 2 chains to the intersection of
Granite and Bull Run Creeks, thence
in the same direction 4 and 50 chains
to a mineral monument, being a rock
marked M M, thence in same direc
tion 3 chains to a rock marked S W C
being the south west corner of claim
and described as io Buundariee as fol
lows, Commencing at paid rock marked
S. W. C. extending thence S 70 deg. E
10 chains to a rock niariced S. E. C.be
ing the Southeast corner of said claim,
thenoa N 20 deg. E 20 chains to a
rock marked N. E. C. being the north
east comer of said claim thence N 70
deg. W 10 chains to tock marked N
W C, being Northwest Corner of said
claim, thence S 70 deg. VV, 20 chair.s

the confluence of Granite Creek and
