approaches people seem to realize '
that it is going to be a grand success I
and therefore they wish to be repre
sented and will either take some ar
t-tide for exhibition or their whole
family to inspect the things there.
This town has been veil visited by
"commercial men" during the last
month, and still they come.

On Friday evening, Sept. 24th, at
about seven o'clock the Canyon City
Brass Band, accompanied by the
Prairie Cily Band marched from tho
I. O. G. T. Hall down through Main
Street, four abreast, in torchlight
procession, to the Ball Room The
spectators that were gathered on the
sidewalks to witness a scene never
before seen or heard of in Canyon
City were more than delighted with
the music that the proud band of 2o
sent re-echoing throughout the hills
and canyons; and each and every
one vowed that the boys deserved
and should have a grand benefit;'
