Mr. Hugh MsQuaid, of Elk Craek, was in our citv a few days ago and showed us some rock which he had taken out of the Prin cess Mine. The rook is very line grain and is beautiful to look at. The specimen he showed us will as say about $2,200 per ton. The poor est rock that was assayed by Chas. Miller, of the Monumental Mine, went over $97 "g? ton. Mr. McQuaid says that the lod?e will average 3h feet wide and s!iov.$ free gold all the way. He has an arrastra about three miles from the mine and over 42 ton of rock there ready to crush. The arrastra will be run by water power. There are other mines near there equally as rich or richer. Still They Come. This week we have added 15 new names to our al ready very large list. Bashaw's driver imme li ately put "the bud" to the little hay and although he did his best on a run he was pasily distanced and "the Grant County Plug'' came up to the score in 2 33 .
