The potato marketing it distinctly weaker than for mme time back. end the move ment of Oregon atock for the time h poetically ceased. When It will be resumed remain! to be seen. For the pretent the southern market are aid to be well supplied ant the trade there lomewhat unsettled. In the event of material lightening of itockt In the south within the next week or two there would be a revival of demand for Oregon but at thin time of the year, with the crop near , at hand, the demand for old ipudi would necessarily be limited. It would probably be sufficient, however, to take the surplus left in this state after home requirement! are pro vided for, Light Berry 8upply Today. The itfeet wa much lei heavily loaded willi utrawbcrric today than yeterday, and with yclcrday' sur plus largely worked off the market was iu better shape. Receipt of Cali fornia fruit were lighter, while Ore gon were somewhat more in evi dence. The best California moved at fl-25 to $150 a crate, while 12J cents wa the general quotation on Ore gon. Cherries moved rather slug gishly at 75 cents to $1 50 a box. and ill ft its u iiil ii sr flrfututilinrrt tuna tttt very strong. Egg Market Is Weakening. With the Sound cities out of the market for Oregon eggs, for the thus at least, the local market shows a weaker tone, though dealers today re ported little or no change In quota tions. Stocks are beginning to ac cumulate in a small way on the street and the outlook Is for a decline, though perhaps a slight one, before the end of the week. Poultry hold up well today, receipts being moderate and the demand good, especially for hens and springs. In dressed meats there was nothing new. Pork continues to move active ly, while the veal trade is dull at tit; lower prices recently announced.
