Fowler of Young's River, came over the latter part of last week and spent a couple of days with his family in this city. George L. Colwell was a business visitor to Ilwaco the first of the week. H. B. Woodruff has iust finished papering and painting the interior of his confectionery store, preparatory for the coming busy season. The trrand ball in the Ilwaco opera house on the 24th of April is being looked forward to with much pleas ure by all those who expect to at tend, as it promises to be the best dance Ilwaco has known for some time. The object of the convention is to form the Coast trade into a gigantic organization that will work in concert against prohibition and in favor of the proper regulation of the lintn'r busi ness on the Coast Mr. Moroney Has ticen an aruent advocate of model license since the national organitation formulated re strictive laws and he is convinced that all that is required to preserve the wine and stiirit interest of the Coast is united action on the part of the trade in favor of all measure that will guarantee obedience to law and respect for public sentiment.
