The Callender steamer Melville
went out on the Deep River run yes

The steamer Lurline made it in

The British steamship Katanga
arrived in yesterday morning, from
' Union Bay, B. C, and left up at
once for Portland, where she will
load grain for the Dnited Kingdom.
The steamer R. D. Inman arrived
down yesterday from Portland, and
went to Knappton, to finish loading
timber for the Bay City.
The steamer Homer came in from
San Francisco yesterday morning,
and discharged about 16 tons of local
freight at the Callender pier, after
which she went on up the river.
The Alliance made it in from Coos
Bay yesterday on her regular sched
ale, with a fair list of passengers and
plenty of freight for this port.
