generally regard the market M a itnfc
one for speculation, mid this probably
explains the unusual activity In the
trade the past few day, A local hop
dealer today estimated the purchases
of Isit werg at fully 4000 bales, and
th bulk of thia business was credited
to Kluber, Wolf & Nettler, who have
probably been the heaviest buyers In
this market this year, quotations run
ning at 5 to 61 cents.
There will be little if any poultry
of any kind to carry over to next
week, and the outlook is for a good
market for the remainder of the
month. No shipments of turkeys for
the Christmas trade are expected for
a week or more, but In all probabil
ity there will be enough for ths de
mand for it Is known that a number
of the turkey producer of ths Valley
at Thanksgiving time held back some
of their birds for the later holiday
trade, Storage stocks In ths city
will taso be drswn upon to some
extent.

Muscular Paina Cured.
"During the summer of 1903 I was
trouble with muscular pains in the
instep of my foot," says Mr. S
Pedlar, of Toronto, Ont. "At times
it was so painful I could hardly
walk. Chamberlain's Pain Balm was
recommended to me, so I tried It
and wa completely enred by one
small bottle. I have since recom
mended it to several of my friends,
all of whom speak highly of it." For

Qood Cough Medicine For Children.
The season for coughs and colds
is now at hand and too 'much cafe
cannot be used to protect the chil
dren, A child is much more likely
to contract diphtheria or scarlet
fever when he has a cold. Ths
quicker you cure his cold the less
the risk. Chamberlain's Cough Rem
edy is the sole reliance of many
mothers, and few of those who have
tried it are willing to use any other.
Mrs. F. F. Starcher, of Ripley, W.
Va., says, "I have never used any
thing other than Chamberlain'
Cough Remedy for my children and
it .has always given good satisfac
tion." This remedy contains no
opium or other narcotic and may be
given as confidently to a child as to
an adult. For sale by Frank Hart
and leading druggists.
