Yesterday for a few minutc3 there
was quite a panic in the store of
Foard & Stokes Hardware Company.
The Malleable Range man of South
Bend is having a demonstration of
hi range there. . While filling the
reservoir, the store being crowded,
someone spilled a lot of the cold
water on the range. When the cloud
of steam cleared away, the .visitors
expected to see a badly cracked top,
but were much surprised to find it
all right. The Malleable man ex
plained to them that it is impossible
to crack his stove, and to prove tt,
threw a piece of ice on it. The South
Bend Ranee is made of Malleable,
the unbreakable iron. It is impos
'h'le to burn or fire crack it. He
then explained that it is also three
ply, being riveted together just like a
boiler. It is truly a wonderful
range a great baker and economizer
of fuel. Everyone who visits this ex
hibit receives hot biscuits and a cup
of delicious coffee, and are presented
with a handsome cook book and use
ful souvenir free. .
You should also see the "beautiful
premiums they are giving away this
week to every purchaser of a range
'All who see the ranate admit it
would be cheap at twice the price,
but the Malleable folks are generous
and very liberal with their patrons.
AH who fail to call at Foard &
Stokes during the exhibit this week
will miss a treat.
