World, Herald and Brooklyn Eagle
anounce the election of Taft.
BOSTON, Nov. 3. The Globe,
the Democrat newspaper, announces
that Taft has carried' Massachusetts
by 100,000 and that Draper is elected
by 75,000, as governor. Eleven Re
publican congressmen are elected.
Both branches of the Legislature are
Republican. Early returns indicate
Taft's plurality at 120,000. Draper for
Governor by 60,000.
NEW YORK, Nov. 3.-At 10:30
p. m., Hughes' plurality in New York
state probably will be about 57,000.
FAIRVIEW, Neb., Nov. 3-Bryan
carried his precinct 106 to 52 for
Taft.

BAD ACCIDENT.
NEW YORK, Nov. -3.-Two acci
dents of a serious nature marred the
first annual tournament of the Aero
nautic Society held today at Morris
Park,, Lawrence J. Leah of Mon
treal, the .record holder, for towed
flghts in a glider, dropped 40 feet and
fractured his, right, leg. Fred Young,
a boy, was struck by a motor cycle
and badly lacerated.
