CLASSIFIED ADVERTISEMENTS 1 Slat H 11 Chance, INTERESTING CONTEST The "Thunderer" Inclined to Think That Bryan Will go to the Wall and Thinks Him Deficient in States manship and Originality. LONDON, July ll.-Tbe London newspapers anticipate an interesting contest for the presidency of the United States. This, they think, will arise not so much from the difference . ta the platforms of the opposing part as" from the striking personalities ses f their candidates. Mr. Bryan hav SDg dropped the free silver and other "extreme planks" is regarded as an acceptable candidate, but as likely to stand little chance against "Roose velt's nominee". His only chance, it is thought, here will be from the sup port given him by the labor party, bat this is expected to be more than balanced by the accession of the busi ness community of Mr. Taft. The daily Chronicle regards Mr. .Bryan's policy as being the same as that of President Roosevelt, and says it is a question of which of the can didates shall be entrusted with its execution. Whoever is the victor, the paper says, ,he will be a man of fcigb character, marked ability and distinction. The Daily Graphic says: "Whatever is really good in the democratic creed-is already an in tegral part of the , policy President Roosevelt is bequeathing to Mr. Taft, lience there is no serious political issue; it will be exclusively a ques tioB of persons. The Saturday Review thinks that Mr. Bryan has an advantage in being sore prominent than Mr. Taft and suggests that the Nebraskan may attain a stronger support from the Think That He Has Perhaps Pacific slope by the adoption ot con-Gold Mining Company ;that the Kim pressman Hobson's naval views. .
