Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and
Diarrhoea Remedy Would Have
Saved Him $100.00.
i "In 1902 I had a very severe attack
f diarrhoea," says R. N. Farrar of
Cat Island, La. "For several weeks
1 was unable to do anything. On
March 18, 1907, 1 had a similar attack,
and took Chamberlain's Cholic, Chol
j era and Diarrhoea Remedy which
i gave me prompt relief. I consider
it one of the best medicines ot us
kind in the world, and had I used it
in 1902 believe it would have saved
me a hundred dollar doctor's bill."

PENDLETON QUITE DRY.
City of Saloons is at Present a Thing
of the Past.
PENDLETON, Or., July l.-For
the first time in its history Pendleton
has no saloons. Last night as a night
of revelry, but the last hours of the
saloon business in Pendleton were
not marked by anything more serious
than drunken lights and wrestling
matches. Those who expected to see
a wild time were disappointed. At a
late hour last night Judge Bean hand
ed down his decision in the case
brought by the saloons, praying for
an injunction prohibiting the Sheriff
from enforcing: the law. "And the in-J
junction prayed for in the complaint
will be denied,"' were the words of
the judge.
This final sentence blasted the
hopes of the saloon men and today 26
saloon doors are locked here. It it
thought that appeal from the Circuit
Court will be useless.

NEW YORK. Tulv l.-I n rrmtrn
diction to the many rumors connect
ing his name with the chairmanshln

I' rank B. Kellogg has succeeded in
impressing upon his political friends
that his name must not be further
considered for the chairmanship. His
position as counsel for the govern
cut in Standard Oil and other uroso-
anions is in itself held by him to be
sufficient to preclude his selection as
manager for the Taft campaign.
