The per value of the stock is $100
per share, but is now offered at one
half ($50) and it is worth it The
company has already sold a limited
amount of stock, equipped the prop
erty with the best working machinery
in the world and it has plans for a
great future. The money secured
from the sale of stock will be to push
the work. Every dolar will be used
to prepare for the best interest of the
company. As the drill goes down the
stock will surely rise. The price it is
now offered at will only be a short
time. A good rule is to let oppor
tunity in when it knocks at the door.
For an investment there is nothing
more tangible, brighter or more surer

until it goes to par, but buy now. It
is really a chance that comes seldom.

TO ELECTRIFY ONTARIO.
The plan to electrify the province
of Ontario, Canada, with power from
Niagara Falls, described in the July
Popular Mechanics, is undoubtedly
the most .stupendous undertaking of
this character .ever projected. The
article states:
"The first contract with the Com
mission was sinned by Toronto, and
calls for 10,000 hp., the first supply
to be delivered to that city in Decem
ber, 1909. Among other cities that
signed contracts are London, Hamil
ton, St. Thomas, Woodstock, Gnclph,
Berlin, Stratford, Preston, Ualt and
Incersoll. Toronto will 'pay $18.10
per horsepower per year and St.
Thomas $26.50 per year. The prices
the other cities will pay range be

amount of power contracted for. As
soon as the lines feeding these cities
are completed a line will be run to
-Windsor, 247 miles from the Falls.
"The undertaking, which is now
ncaring culmination, is a gigantic one,
furnishing, as it will, the power to
ltht cuks run electric rallwajs and
drive the heavy machinery of hun
dreds of manufacturing concerns." A
map accompanying the article gives
a clear idea of the territory to be
covered by the system.
PRAISE CLEVELAND
torial, say: '
"Cleveland was one of the great
men of his time. He had BUmark's
strength and P.isiuark's breadth of
view and more than Bismark's hon
esty. As president he did not lift-a
linger for the democratic party, but
merely served the United States. He
was the strongest man that lived in
the White House since the death of
Washington."
The Morning Papers print extend
ed memoirs and portraits of Mr.
Cleveland, the Daily Telegraph de
voting six columns to this purpose.
Some editorials also are published
on the death of tile former president
of the United States and the major
ity of these make note of the strange
coincidence of his death on the day
that the United States diplomatic
representative withdrew from Vene
zuela. 'All the newspapers pay warm tri
bute to Mr. Cleveland's independence
of parties, his -integrity and high pur
poses and their reference to the "un
fortunate Venezuelan incident" are
made without bitterness.
