What the Company Is
X
The -Pacific Coast Gas & Oil Co.' ii
composed of reliable business men of
Oregon and Washington whose only
purpose it to develop the property to
the let of its ability and produce a
paying mine of oil and gas that all
who have purchased stock may share
in in profits. The officers serve with
out salary and include among- them
some of the most reputable citizens
of the State. To make the company
strong on account of its brilliant fu
ture it has secured leases on over
MOO acres of land. It has obtained
the highest expert authority on the
geological formation of the land,
employed the strongest expert work
men to operate the driving apparatus
and given such other evidence of good
faith to warrant any man making an
investment with them.

The per value of the stock is $100
per share, but is now offered at one
half ($30) and it is worth it The
company has already sold a limited
amount of stock, equipped the prop
erty with the best working machinery
in the world and it has plans for a
great future. The money secured
from the sale of stock will be to push
the work. Every dolar will be used
to prepare for the best interest of the
company. As the drill goes down the
stock will surely rise. The price it is
now offered at will only be a short i
time. A good rule is to let oppor
tunity in when it knocks at the door.
For an investment there is nothing
more tangible, brighter or more surer
dvidend paying than this stock, par
ticularly at $50 per share. Don't wait
until it goes to par, but buy now. It
is really a chance that comes seldom.

WHY TEACHERS RESIGN
ARERDUEX Wash., World-
Twenty teachers nearly half of the
entire teaching staff of the city have
resigned from the Aberdeen public
schools. More than half of these
resignations are due to matrimonial
plans.
In commenting on this matter,
President Hart of the board of edu
cation, said that resignation are com
mon at this time of the year. He does
not think that small salaries are the
cause of retirement. ."The salaries of
the teachers may not be up to the
standard paid in larger cities" he said,
"but they are about as high as Aber
deen can afford to pay. They have
been increased a little each year and
there will be a slight increase this
year.
Another member of the board put
it this way:
"Teachers are finding married life
a pleasanter existence than the hum
drum of school cares."
So far as known but two resigna
tions are due to a demand for high
er salaries. Several are due to a de
sire to go to other places to teach
and are not the result of fault finding
with the system, pay or anything else
in Aberdeen.
The contract plan is not in force
here.
