IDAHO NATIONAL FORESTS.
WASIUN'CTON'Juiie 10. The first
step toward carrying out a compre
hensive plan of districting the Na
tional Forests in western states has
just been made by the President in
signing executive orders effective
July 1, establishing the Cache and
Pocatello National Forest in north
ern Utah and southern Idaho. The
object of this plan is to equntixe
areas of administrative 'unit and re
arrange their boundaries in such a
manner as to promote the efficient
administration. No actual addition to
the National Forest area isjnvolvcd
in the plan.
The Cache forest will consist of th
Logan and Idaho divisions of tin
Bear River National Forest, and will
be administered by Supervisor Wood
ruff, with headquarters at Logan,
Utah. The Pocatelto National Forest
will consist of the present Pocatello
and Port Neuf National Forests, to
gether with the Malad Division of th
Bear River Forest. These areas will
be administered by Supervisor Wren-
sted, with headquarters at Pocatello,
I-'aho.
Under the general plan of redis
tricting 18 new administrative units
will, be established from the existing
National Forest area. The attempt is
being made by the Forest Service to
reduce the srea of the administrative
units to an average of approximately
1,000,000 acres. This will not be pos
sible in all cases, as is shown by the
fact that under the plan of redisrict
ing there will be 144 Supervisors who
will administer more than 135,000,000
acres of National Forest area.

This woman says that sick
women should not fail to try
Lydia E. Finkham's Vegetable
Compound as she did.
Mrs. A. Gregory, of 2355 Lawrence
Pinkham
St., Denver, CoL, writes to Mrs.
" I was practically an invalid for six
J ears, on account of female troubles,
underwent an operation by the
doctor's advice, but in a few months I
was worse than before. A friend ad
vised Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable
Compound and it restored me to perfect
health, such as I have not enjoyed in
many years. Any woman suffering as
I did with backache, bearing-down
pains, and periodic pains, should not fail
to use Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable
Compound."
FACTS FOR SICK WOMEN.
For thirty years Lydia E. Pink
ham's Vegetable Compound, jnade
from roots and herbs, has been the
standard remedy for female ills,
and has positively cured thousands oi
women who have been troubled with
displacements, inflammation, ulcera
tion, fibroid tumors, irregularities,
Seriodic pains, backache, that bear-lg-down
fueling, flatulency, Indiges
tion, dizziness or nervous iJrostration.
Why don't you try it?
Mrs. Pinkham invites all sick
women to write her for advice.
She has guided thousands to
health. Address, Lynn, Mass.
tion and the Chamber of Commerce
itself have received a number of in
quiries as to the details of this pub
licity campaign which as one promi
nent Washington, D. C, newspaper
publisher puts it: "The fame of your
good work has spread abroad and I
am very anxious to know more of the
way you are handling affairs in your
section. Will you be good enough
to send me samples of such printed
matter as yqu care to part with and
tell me more of your good work?"
TJie manager of one of the oldest
newspapers in the south has written:
"I shall appreciate it if you will give
me details." As was evinced at the
meeting of the Chamber of Com
merce Monday night, a number of
important enterprises are now under
way here which not only attract at
tention away from home but arouse
interest locally and Astoria is being
put on the map so it will stick out
like a sore thumb.

For upward of forty years every
President registered at the Fifth
Avenue Hotel, and Abrahom Lincoln
went forth from its hospitable walls
to Cooper Union, where he made the
speech that started him on the road
to the White House. General Grant's
first candidacy for the Presidency was
originally discussed at a dinner of the
Peabody Fund trustees at the Fifth
Avenue Hotel, in 1867, and he and
his Cabinet once held an official ses
sion in one of its parlors. Roscoe
Conkling and General William T.
Sherman lived there during their
last years. There James A. Garfield
and Grover Cleveland held their first
public receptions, and Chester A.
Arthur received the first Korean Am
bassadors.
But perhaps its most historic incid
ent occured in the Summer of 1884.
The Fifth Avenue was then the stop
ping place of James G. Blaine. The
"Plumed Knight" had been nominat
ed for the Presidency.
It was the scene of the famous
"Rum, Romanism and Rebellion" in
cident that cost Blaine the Presidency

vocate of the above trinity, had hurl

Just Breathe in Hyomel, the Dry Air
That KUli the Germs.
You can do exactly what G. J.
jSterers did by using Hyomei. Read
this:
"After havitig suffering from chron
ic catarrh fdr years, for which I tried
various remedies without success, I
became almost discouraged. After
reading about Hyotnei, I decided to
make one more effort to rid" myself
of the dread disease, and to my great
delight I found the use of two bottles
of the Inhalent sufficient to produce a
complete cure. I now take pleasure
in recommending this remedy to all
sufferers from catarrh." G. J. Sterers,
Crown City, Ohio,
We don't simply say Hyomei will
cure catarrh, but we say that T. F.
Laurin, the druggist, guarantees it to
cure catarrh, or money back. He does
more he guarantees it to cure asth
ma, bronchitis, hay fever, coughs ancl
colds. A complete Hyomei outfit, in
cluding inhaler, costs only $1.00, and
extra bottles, if you afterwards need
one, will cost but 50 cents. Hyomei
is a pleasant dry air treatment. You
just breathe it in, and as it passes
over the inflamed membrane, it kills
the germs of catarrh, and allays all
inflammation.
