erty owners reiuicbting that a hydrant
be placed at the corner of Thirty-first
street and Grand avenue was read and
referred to the assistant superintend
ent. The report of Commissioner
Bowlby on the condition of Reservoir
No. 2 was read and placed on file.
The bids for the improvements of
the grounds at the old reservoir were
opened and the following bids were
made. Christ Larson, $5197.25, Thos,
Bush, $5560; Maguire & Jamieson,
$6337.
Mr. Larson's bid was accepted and
it was ordered that a contract be en
tered into with him. City Attorney

draw the contract. The clerk was in
structed to ask for bids for moving
the material, such as pipe and other
