There was a meeting of St. Aldcm

There was a very happy time at the
Friday evening session of Sacajawca
Lodge of Rcbckahs, No. 164, at Ham
mond, when the Grand Warden of the
Assembly, Mrs. Corric Hubbard, was
in official attendance and the honored
guest of the hour. There was any
amount of valuable and interesting
work and instruction and as a climax
a delicious banquet was served, coupl
ed, with a delightful musical'program.

Improving Road
Dunkin & Normand have taken the
contract to improve about 1 miles on
the Nehalcm Valley road beyond the
16 mile post. Their camp is nearly
ready for occupancy.
Experting the Books
Mr. I. Haird. from the office of W.
R. Mackenzie of Portland, who is to
expert the books of the Master Fish
Warden, came down I-riday evening
and was busy yesterday. Mrs. Baird
accompanied him and they will spend
today with friends in Seaside.
