Prices of Commodities, Farm

PORTLAND, March S-Therc was
more life in the poultry market today
than for a week past, and hens and
chickens were quoted at a slight ad
vance, 13 to 14 cents a pound being
the prices named. At these gures
sales were fairly free and most stocks
were cleaned up. There was even
some demand for dressed turkeys at
16 to 17 cents, but live birds were not
wanted at any price. Ducks move in
a slow way at the former quotations,
and there ia practically no demand fof
geese, either live or dressed. Eggs
are steady around 18 cents.
