The monthly meteorological report
for December, 1!K)7, allows that the mean
temperature, for the month, was 48 de
grees, the highest temperature being 61
degrees on the 2nd, and the lowest, 35
degrees, on the 30th. The total precipi
tation was 8.77 and the greatest rain
fall for 24 hour was I CO on the 12th
and 13th. The number of days on which
it rained was 25, chmdy without rain
2, partly cloudy 3 and clear 1 day. Tl

when it blew DO miles an hour from the
.Southeast. There was a light frost on
the 15th, a heavy frost on the 10th and
