Pat Crowe, who gained fame through the kidnaping of one of Acker Cudahy' children several years ago, is being detained here by the police in connection with the murder of Policeman McAneny, who was shot snd killed early this morning The case is shrouded in mystery. Crowe heard that the police were seeking him and sur-1 rendered at police headquarters. No I formal charge has been placed against him. The policeman was killed on his way home from Englewood station. It is supposed that he stopped and ques tioned the highwayman, who fired the shot. OPTIMISM CLUB. SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 16.
