Meimer Mesmer The Myetic Ice Cream Sherbets Candies GOOD GOODS It Is reported from different quarter, lu Astoria, and rumors to the Mine elfci't are rifa in Portland, that the X01 llieni Pacliic Hailroad ha purchased the 2000 acre, of laud between Ham mond and Warrenton from the Fluvel lnd Company, the eastern syndicate which purcha.ed tlie property some ten year ago, Hfforl were made by the Atorian to conllim the rejairt In Portland lat night, but without results. It I reason ably certain, however, that there is line truth In the wpoit, which has circulated with great rapidity. The addition ot this large tract, along with what the company already holds for terminal facilities, would mean that the company Is going to control the field across Young' Uiver, and that the building of a city on the acquired prop erty is a strong possibility, ' The FUvel Hotel, which ha been clos et for some year, goe with this prop erty and may lie put In shape again for the purpoe for which it wa construct ed. The land is the finest in the county for the slt of a city, and it I figured that the railroad company will put it on the market In lot. The consideration of the property 10 years ago was 3jO.0O0, but the price paid by the railroad company will reach considerably beyond that amount. Thi give some idea of tlie confidence of the railroad of what it intends to do, if the report of the transfer Is correct. Meamer Mesmer The Mystic.
