Me dure, clerk living at 761 .Turk street was badly beaten up by -two men m Franklin street near Elm avenue about 6:35 o'clock this morning. JfcCIure was walking along in.com pffy with a young lady wben twp men oddenlji jumped out upon him from a doorway and immediately proceeded to pummel him with their fists. McClure defended himself aa best he could, but was powerless against the force of big two assailants, and he was soon beaten to the ground. The young woman who tried to protect her escort, was roughly kindled. When be was prostrate the men pro ceeded to kick him and call him all arts of vile epithets. After his assail ants had fled, McClure, with the help the young lady, who would not give lifer name, made his way to the Central Emergency hospital where he was treat ed for badtyi lacerated wounds of the ttce, head and eyes, and several body Iguise. The young man accounts for his as sault by saying that it was caused by jealousy on the part of one of the two men who beat him. He says one of teem is very much in love with the young lady who was his companion at tie time of the assault, and although Mcdure -tioes not know the name of the man he will swear out a "John Boo" warrant for his arrest.
