The City of Panama, Captain Nelson,
entered at the custom houe yesterday
from San Francisco to Portland.
The steamer- Breakwater, from Port
land to Coos Bay, cleared at the cus
tom house yesterday.
The steamer George W. Elder, from
San Pedro and way points to Portland,
entered at the custom house yesterday.
The steamer Redondo, with general
cargo for this port and Portland, entered
from Seattle yesterday.
The sicamcr Johan Paulsen, with gen
eral cargo for Portland, was one of the
entries yesterday at the custom house
from San Francisco.

On the A. & C R. R. has a gang of
workmen putting down new ties on the
trfatlo near the Parker House. The ties
are watched closely on these trestles and
the company has a gang of men at work
all the time putting in new sleepers.
The grandstand committee of the Re
gatta celebration has tbe work of build
ing the grandstand at the foot of
Eleventh street well under way. The sup
ports for the seats are all placed anil
the boards forming the place where
sightseera will view the sports will soon
be in place.
The Sue H. Elmore arrived in last
night from Tillamook with passengers
and a big cargo of dairy products. She
loft out again this morning at 4 o clock
with her limit of passengers aboard all
bound for the Tillamook Fair and Carnival
The Delia left out yesterday for Nea
tuoca with a cargo of merchandise and
piovisions.
The Gerald 0. passed out yesterday
bound with freight and passengers for
