KKASIDK, Or., July 20. One of the
most ini)Hrtant elections ever held in
WV-l Seaside occurred today. Hill
city ticket was elected and a tii;lit was
on between two factions, the resident
and non-resident owners. The icsidciit
owners called their ticket l he "Citizen
and Home Hule" ticket while the non
residents headed their ticket 'Home
Owners' Utile.' Legal opinion had been
nought by the; rvsidehts mid according
to that opinion" th non-residents were
not entitled to hold oftica nor to vote.
The vote of the Portland lesidenU
was challenged but Justice bin and

to le cast on the ground that the vot
er were property owner and were en

West Seaside residenls), by a vote of
3 to 1.
