BEGINS AN INVESTIGATION Asks "Emigration Investigation Commit tee" of Stockholm to Ascertain From Swedish-American Chief Causes of Emigrations CHICAGO, July 18. King Oscar is anxious ot secure the return to Sweden ef the hundreds of thousands of Swede who have emigrated to America, and ha begun an investigation to determine what were the conditions which prompt ed his people to leave the Fatherland and what would be necessary for Swed en to do to induce them to return. The editors of the Swedish newspapers and Swedish ministers in Chicago yesterday received from the '"Emigration investi gation committee'' of Stockholm, a cir u!ar calling on them to ascertain from each or as many as possible of their Swedish-American readers and parish ioners the chief causes of his emigra tion from Sweden.
