ARRAIGNED AND DISCHARGED Wu Arrested For Murder of Amelia Staffeldt, a 15-Yeir-Old Girl, and Confessed to Crima After Being Made Craty by "Third Degree." XEW YORK, July 3. After a rigid examination the Queen's County grand jury baa refused to indict Henry Becker for the murder of 13 vear old Amelia Staffeldt of Flushing. X. Y. Becker will be arrainged in Flushing this morn ing and disoharged. The police are now working on new clues, and in addition to looking for a former close friend of the familr, who is missing, are trying to locate the source of a number of "black hand" letters that have been re eeived by Mr. George Simonson, the ehief witness against Becker. Casting aside all other clues, the po lice settled on Becker as the perpetra tor of the murder. He is about 22 years f age and did odd jobs for a livelihood in the neighborhood where the girl was killed while picking dandelions on Wed nesday afternoon, March 22. She vas (tabbed behind the right ear several times with the knife she had used in tutting dandelions. - Becker was arrest ed near the scene next day. It was not until after he had been put through the "third degree" several times that Becker made a confession mid then he started in to confess to any and everybody who happened to ask him about the crime.
