This ha proved extremely objection able in many ways. It not only con tinued the life directors, but there are more often that there are state direc tors. The five trustees elected by the directors have more power than the present constitution allows. They are the custodians of the $147,000 fund and have sole initiative in the expenditures. The directors have nona. , , The educational policy is controlled by a council which practically is sepa rate from the association. Miss Haley asserted that the present author of the situation was Thomas Dougherty of Teoria, now serving a penitentiary term for embezzlement and forgery. LOS AXGELES, July 2.-Tbe body of Francis Murphy, "Apostle of Tem perance," will be buried at Rosedale, cemetery, Wednesday afternoon after services at the Simpson Auditorium where the body will lie in state for three hours. Men prominent in the affairs of Southern California, who have been at socited with the dead evangelist in his temperance work will act as pall bear ers. Addresses will be made by Rev. De wit t Talmage, Dr. Robert J. Burdette, and Dr. Robert Mclntyre.
