Early yesterday morning the store of the Reliance Electrical Company owned by Henrj ind William Cyrus, on Bond street, was broken into and $15.30 in cash was taken from the till. The rob ber or robbers gained admission to the premises by forcing open the front door. The office was then entered and the cash drawer broken open. A pair of scissors were first used and these bar ing proved ineffectual a email fire was requisitioned and the lock of the drawer yielded. The thief then made good his escape by the back door leading out on the alley in the rear of the premises. No clue has at present been found to to the identity of the robber. 3 PERSONAL MENTION. R M. Poole of Hood River is a visitor in Atoria. . YV. J. Warren of Portland is a guest at the Occident. R. W. Merserveau came in on the late train yesterday. P. W. Vaille is another visitor in Astoria from Portland. J. C. Driscoll came in on last night's train from Portland. Walker Leaborg of Uwaco made a trip over the town yesterday. Wm. MiMer, traveling freight agent of the lliicauo Northwestern, was a visitor in Astoria yesterday A BODY RECOVERED FROM RIVER HERBERT MORGAN'S BODY WAS FOUND FLOATING NEAR THE CLATSOP MILL YESTERDAY WHERE BE FELL IN. Yesterday morning early some fisher men (found the body of a man floating in the rivet near the depot wharf. It was towed down to the Lurline dock an! the coroner was notified and Imme diately took charge. The body was very soon identified is that of Herbert Morgan, a sailor, who had been dis charged from the schooner Fred E. San ders which was loading at the Clatsop Mill. Morgan was a man of intemper ate habits and had lteen locked up in the city jail on account of this fault. He appears to have been intoxicated again and in that condition to have walked or fallen off the wharf and there was no help for him. Herbert Morgan was a native of AVales arid un married. He has latterly made San Franeiseo 'his home. The Rev. KHefson will ofliciate ut the funeral service which will be held at I'ohl's parlors at 1 o'clock today, the interment taking place sub sequently in Greenwood Cemetety. NEW JO-DAY.
