The man it will lie rementliercd started, to work at the mill on June 3rd. It wa noticed that he wag working in a rather distroctod manner all dny, as though he had something on hi mind or was brooding over some trouble. When the 8 o'clock whistle blow be stayed down at the mill instead of going to supper with tho rest of the men. The place where bis body was found is the shallowest plnce round the mill, there being only 10 'feet of water at that spot at high water. Further, the place In so enclosed that it would be impos sible for tho tide to either carry out or bring In the body. Unless the man had jumped overboard he could not have got so far out but that lie would have been within easy reach of some of the piling. If he had cried out the night watchman could have rendered immediate assist ance.
