Agreement Made With Masters, Mate and Pilot Term Not Given Out NEW WORK, May t The Panama & Luckenbacfc Steamship Companies have made a settlement with Harbor No, 1 of the American Association of Masters, mates and pilots, but Gener al Manager Dow of the officer union declined to say what the terms of set tlement were. It will be known today how many of the other line will be effected by the strike which was due to go into effect this morning. Some of the lines may settle before sailing time. If tho threat of the first, second and third officers Is carried out the ves sels of ten lines will lack men today. The lines had until last evening to agree to pay $100, $80 and $60 a month, for the first second and third officers. Those demands Include a flat rate for all oporators after they have served an apprenticeship. , .
