A traveler In Siberia tells us abogt a wonderful plant found In the northern nrt of that country, where the ground U perpetually covered with a coartng of frost and snow. It la called the snow flower, and the description of Its birth and Its short life reads Ilka a fairy tale. He says It shoots out of the frozen soli on the IJrst day of the yanr ami attains a height of three feet. On the third day it blooms, remalnl:i oieu for only twenty-four hours. On the third day. the day the bloom i.n- pears, little specks apis-ar on tne ex tremitlea of the leaves. They araanout the size of the head of a pin and are the seeds of the flower. It Is said that aouie of these seeds were gathered once and taken to SL Petersburg, where they were burled In a lied of snow.
