The plant is said to be in fairly good condition, and in the next month will be in the finest kind of shape. The storms did not do so much damage as was at first rpported If all goes welrj more work will be done to the Jetty this coming season than during any previous year. For two months an effort has been made to take soundings of the depth of water on the bar, but the frequent storms interfered. Very soon, it Is be lieved, the survey can be completed. The engineers are anxious to know what effect the jetty has had during the past few months of scouring out the bar.
