The Beah & Bower minstrels In chnrjte of J. H. Bmlth, played to well-fllled house In Lead last evening-. The opening was excellent and tha stage setting as fins as ever has been seen In Lead and those who per formed were artists In their line. The opening overture by tha company was well received, the band being an ex cedent one. Bolos by, Earl Flynn, John Hlgains, Hurry Perrlll and Ben Horner were above the ordinary, but when Barney McConnell sang "Gen evleve," he brought down the house and It was necessary for him to re spond to several encores. When Ros- well J, Wright, the phenomenal male soprano, sang "Would Tou Care," the audience went wild and many would not believe Mr Wright was a male Im pronator. He Is Mr, Wright and la nil right The arrival of Bousa and his band made the audience act like overgrown children, and this act which la original with Beach A bow ers' company, surpasses all previous efforts In this direction. The second part of the . program was aa good as the first and consisted of songs, Jokes of a alde-sptltting nature, and other good specialties among which Oarels Brothers, human springs, easily ranked first Thes men are excellent acro bats end made a hit with their spe cialty humorous features which great ly amused the audience. J. H. Bmlth, the manager of the company, Is striv ing to make his show of the kind that ranks first and succeeds admirably 1n hla efforts. They have appeared In Lead, several times and the present at tractisn by far excels that of any of their previous engagements. Dead- wood (South Dakota) Ploneer-Tlmea.
