He says:
"In the eyes of the court party, par

question being how and when to arrange
a decent burial. My belief is that the
crown will dissolve parliament, anil

order new elections which will result in
the return of it own partisans."

THOUSANDS MADE HOMELESS
Almost Certain That aooo Persona Are

Aie All Hopeful.
MILWAUKEE. May 20. The staff
correspondent of the Sentinel who has
toured the upper peninsula telegraphs
that the fire appears practically out. It
seems certain that now 2000 persons
are homeless, besides 1000 left desolate
at Quinnesec. The Quinnesec fire how
ever was of different origin from the
Kscanuba fire, having started in a field
where the men were burning debris.
This fine spread to the city, wiping out
everything except three residences and
the paper mills, end then spread into
the timber nnd running north for forty
miles joined the flames east of Eecan
aba. It was also learned today that
Woodlawn, Kingsley and Terkins are
destroyed.
Stories of kittles against the flames
are numerous. Downs of towns were
saved only by the most desperate battle
with the flamos. Northland, a town of
10(H) inhabitants was three times threat
ened. The fire was checked each time
at . distance of only ten yards from the
houses on the outskirts of town. A
emarkable feature of the fire is the
fact that nearly all the refugees are not
disheartened, but 'determined to return
and begin over.

The diplomatic bill, according to pro

is a small measure, and unless it is

discussion when the motion is made to

a preliminary report is not a distant
possibility. The pure food hill will be
