Andrew Forner, the cook of the tug Ixittie, met his death early yesterday morninjr, by fall ing from the Mrinpcr of the Fisher slip to the deek of the Lottie and fracturing his skull; lie wan removed to St. Mary's hospital at once and all that medical aiil could do for the unhappy man was done, but he never regained conscious nc'S, and died at about 8 o'clock. He was taken thence to the undertaking parlor of Cormier W. C. A. Pohl. and his funeral will be arranged for on to morrow. Decedent had no family nor relatives in this city, but has two brother living at a distance, from here. The coroner has decided that no inquest i necessary in the premises. Mr. Forner was well known and sincerely liked among the river men hereabout. Commits Suicide. William Layzell, aged 23 years, ended his life yesterday afternoon about 1 o'clock, by shooting himself through the head, just above tho right ear, with a 22 caliber revolver. The cause which prompted the youth ending his life, is said to have been despondency over the fact that he was suffering with consumption. The body of the youth was found just West of the family residence on the Hinnian tract in a clump of bushes, where he had evidently gone to escape observation. The body was found by some children who were playing in the vicinity, soon after tho shooting occurred, but death had been instantaneous.' Coroner Pohl was notified and removed the body to the undertaking parlors, where an in quest will lie held today. Funeral ar rangement have not yet been made. Claire.
