tion to re-establish the grade on Irving
avenue from the west line of Ninth
street to the West line of Fourteenth
street so that the, grade upon said
street when so re-established shall be
at the following elevation above the
base of grades as established by ordi
nance, to-wlt.
At the intersection of Irving avenue
and Ninth street at 167 feet above the
base of grades on the north side and
170 feet above the base of grades on
the south side;
At the intersection of Tenth street
at 144 feet above the base of grades on
the north side and 147 feet above the
base of grades on the south side;

mon Council of the City of Astoria has
declared its determination and Inten
tion to construct a drain on Melbourne
avenue from the alley-way running
through block 17, Taylor's Astoria, to
a point 70 feet north of the north line
of Taylor avenue. Said drain shall con
sist of box drain of 15 inches inside
measurement, and shall ! constructed
of planking three inches in thickness
and from the north to the south line
f Alameda avenue, there shall be a
ten-inch vitrified sewer pipe laid in the

ficient depth and on proper grade to
give sufficient drainage.
