The montblv retxirt of City School Superintendent Clark on the attendance! for the month of March has been com pleted and show that the school arc all in gixxl condition. The banner school for the month of March i the Adair school, where the percentage of attendance via !H"2 and the punctuality 100 per cent. The ban ner room for the month al-o fall to the Adair school, room No. 5. securing a percentage in attendance amounting to !'!t.7, with punctuality 1 . The total percent age of attendance for all the -chools combined is The average daily attendance for the month was 12H4.K, and the total number of tardies in both the grades anil the high school was only thirteen which i truly remarkable. The total number of pupils registered i 1510, and of thin number the monthly enrollment was 1300. The enrollment is abotu equally divided, though the boys are slightly in the lead. The number of boys enrolled for the month was 095, and girls 605. ENDORSE LABOR UNIONS. Mayor Dunne Approvei Unions of Muni cipal Employes. CHICAGO, March 30. Labor unions among municipal employes were indors ed emphaticaly by Mayor Dunne last night at a street car men's meeting That they should not strike was his only proviso. The mayor also declared that the negro shall have an equal chance in obtaining employment on the cars after the municipalization of the street cari avutnm4 ' He told the street car men's union that they might continue their organiza tion after the ears are owned and oper ated by the city. In answe rto a ques tion regarding the organization of the policemen which former Mayor Harrison disrupted he said that every branch of the municipal service is at liberty to organize. The mayor said that his plan in treating with the present employes would be to employ every one in the service of the company at the time the lines are taken over by thu municipality Afflicted With Rheumatism. NEW YOPvK, March 30. -The Oly mpic games selection committee has added several athletes to the team which is scheduled to sail for Athens on Tuesday next. One of the most important is C. U. Parsons, of Yale, the intercol legiate champion half miler and it is announced that he will staK in the 400. 800 and 1500 metre runs. Law -ton Rob ertson, of the Iri-h-Anierican Athletic Club, who recently won the 300-yard A. A. U. indoor championship at Chicago will enter the hprints and standing jump. Paul H. Pilgrim, the "Handicap King," of the New York Athletic Club, has been selected and will devote his attention to the 400 and 800 metre. Francis B. Connelly, and Thomas E. Cronan, of Boston, will accompany the team find try for the jumps.
