ITarriman refusal last night to comment upon the testimony of Thomas F. Ryan before the insurance investigation committee - yesterday in which the wit no said that Mr. Harriman attemped to secure an interest in Mr. Ryan's Equitable hold ing. "There U going to be a thorough re organization of the Mutual and you would be amazed if I should tell you the amount of moncv that will be saved to the company through reform which hare now and will in the future be put into effect. "These tremendous savings will make it possible to increase the dividends paid to the policyholders and this will he done. Within ten days or two weeks the complete reports of three investiga tions that are now being made will be made public and when they are made there will be no room for doubting the f nancial strength of the Mutual and the stability of iU asset." Of Interest to Clergy. The Astoria t Columbia River Rail toad Co., having been granted member ship in the Trans-Continental Clergy Bureau, the name of that company will appear in the clergy application blanks nd clergy certificates issued j the bureau for 1906, and commencing Jann ary 1st, of the coming year. These permits will be honored by all agents of the A. k C. R. IL, thus eliminating the individual half-fare permits Issued by that company in former years. Re quests for official application blanks should be made to J. C. Mayo, general yaseenger agent, Astoria. CHANGE OF TIME The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad , Commencing Sunday, November 19, train No. 6, the Royal Blue Limited, will leave Grand Central passenger station, Chicago at 5 p. m., instead of 3:30 p. m and will arrive in Pittsburg at 0:35 a. m., Washington at 4:40 p. m., Baltimore S:50 p. m. Philadelphia, 8:19 p. m. New York 10:40 p. m. the same as with the old schedule, thus reducing the time one hour and thirty minutes. No excess fare will be charged on this fast limited train. All other trains will arrive and depart the same as formerly. Stop-ovr is allowed at Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia, not to exceed ten days, at each place, on all first-class through tickets.
