Late tonight dele gates to the American Missionary Hoard are in favor of either North Attains or Springfield, Ma., for next meeting place, the towns being in close prox imitv to Williamstown, where, in 1800 the famous '"Haystack gathering" held, at which was planted the seed from which sprung the present board, I)r. Henry Hopkins, vice president of tne board has been pursuaded to stand for re-election now that the next meet ing place will be there as he is presi dent of AViliams college, at Wiliams tiwn. Jay Tuttle, jr., who is at present visit ing Ins parent in this city will leave in a few days for Houghton, Mich., where he will take a course in the Michigan school of mines. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Johnson have re turned from a week's outing at the great fair and Portland. Mr. Jolinson reports genuinely pleasant trip, and declares the air-ship maneuvers of young Bald win, on Friday, was one of the most onderful and interesting sights of his trip.
