It of her nine.-year old daughter Elsie, who died from diph theria in tbe Willard Parker hospital on Sunday last, Mrs. Mina Scheuter of o. & 7th-st.. is believed to have killed her younger child Annie, and attempted suicide by gas, yesterday morning SI is now a prisoner in Bellevue .barged with homicide. Mrs. Annie Miller, the janitress of the tenement house where the Scheuter familv have lived for two months. smelled gas yesterday morning in the hall of which the Scheuter apartments open. She knocked at the door, and receiving no response, notified the po li nf the 5th-t. station. Patrolman Cahill and Wagner entered the apart mcnts by the fire escape and found Mrs. Scheuter and little Annie lying on the bed, with gas tube in their mouths.
