ODD FELLOWS. TOe Oatslde and Inside Gaards. Triple Link Kotes. Id the lodges of the Independent Or er of Odd Fellows too little attention is given to the selection of the officers who are stationed at the outer and the liner door, says the Lodge Record. It often happens that the members selected for these positions are those who have little Interest In the organi zation, or, as the general membership says, "Any one who can receive the password is good enough to put at the doors." Close observation demon strates that the outside and Inside guards are among the most Important Ulcers of a lodge, and they should be selected with the greatest care, par ticularly as to fitness to fill the posi tions. The Odd Fellows' home of Indian Territory is located upon a farm of 153 acres of fertile laud, valued at $7,500. The building cost the order 114,000. The odes constitute an integral part f the ceremonies of a subordinate lodge, and It Is not proper to omit them. If they cannot be sung, they should be read. In answer to the question, "Is pro fanity a sufficient ground for charges?' the Odd Fellows' Herald says, "No, muk-ss It amounts to calumny or Plan e'er or disturbs the peace of the lodge."
