Larson, late pastor of the Norwegian-Danish M. E. church In this city, left lost evening with his family for Portland, where he has been ssslgned to a pastorate. Mr. Larson wsa the pioneer of his church on this! coast having established th churches In Oakland, Cal., and Portland, Seat tle, Tacoma, Spokane and other cities, commencing 23 years ago. Miss Elsie Larson Is an amateur violinist of re markably good promise, whose playing has been highly appreciated by many Astoria audiences. She will pursue her musics! studies In Portland. Just as soon as the necessary plans can be prepared, the work of con structing the new dock for the Callen der Transportation Company will be commenced. Charles H. Callender stated last evening that It was the Intention to get the improvement un der: way Immediately, and that the dock would be a fine one in every re' spect The details have not yet been definitely announced, but Ifr la stated th dock will be so arranged as to ac commodate large vessels, as well as th steamers owned by the Callender company. The property Is located on th north side of Bond street between Twelfth and Fourteenth. At today's matinee and continuing during the remainder of the week, a complete change of program will be presented at the Star. The Klsners will appear in an entirely new per. formance, and their work, , which has been so well received thus far during th week, will doubtless afford even more pleasure to theatergoers. Miss Franklin, cornet soloist, will render new selections, and th sketch team Ward and Ward, will also present a new ;turn. The "fire , king" will per form new feats and Mr. Scott's Illus trated song will be a novelty. .
