Orders were Is sued by Governor Peabody today . for the entire national guard of this state, numbering 2000 men, to be prepared for service at three hours' notice. No information was given out as to what service will be required, but It Is un officially announced that 300 men will be sent to the southern coal fields to protect negroes who have been hired to take the places of striking- coal miners. CURTIS, Secretary. Case of Lend Fraud Begins Frsncisco Court. San Francisco, March 22. Jhe pre llmln;ry examination of F. A. Hyde and Henry P. Dimond, charged in an indictment of the federal grand Jury, of Washington, D. C, with obtaining government land by frudulent means, began today. On the motion of the government's attorney, the bond of Hyde was raised to 130,000 and that of Dimond to $15, 000.
