Anstadt, the well known car penter, is reported to be quite ill at his home on Fifteenth street He recently underwent an operation in Portland, hut the results were not satisfactory. COUNTY COURT MEETS TOMORROW. The county court will meet in regular monthly session 1 tomorrow morning. At this session several matters concern ing the 1903 assessment will be taken up for action. Persons who filed com plaints last week had their objections referred to the county court for adjust ment, but those who desire to enter late complaints will not be able to get them before the court.' Several road matters are also to be taken up, among them the Lewis and Clark road survey, over which there has been so much con tention. The members of , the court have not yet looked over the report of the viewers, being anxious to avoid dis cussion of the matter until the court is in session. " " ' LETTER FROM MILES. There was also printed in the same issue an editorial concerning the treatment the old veteran had re ived at the hands of the administra tion during his incumbency as lieutenant-general and upon his retire ment..
