THERE IS SUBSTITUTE
l If our judgment in the amusement
line goea for anything at all, th Uni
que theatir has on the bill this week
one of the best selected shows on the
bill since the gifend opening. For fun
making the colored , peopleDavis and
De Heard, now performing at this
place, are certainly number one. The
team does some ofthe cleverest buck
and wing dancing ever seen. Quite of
ten the male performer of a team is
considered the more clever of the two,
but In Uiis case we are Inclined to cay
the adjr i equally as good It not bet
ter that the man. Their Jokes are all
fresh and very comical. ; Joe White
head, who does- a great monologue
turn. Is aiso there- when it comes to
the shake of the foot. The illustrated
pong entitled 'Jtt8t Next Door" Is a
very sad and pathetic ballad and the il
lustrations are beautiful. The Vita
graph has some line new pictures.
