Both men admit their guilt, but each tries to place the weight of the crime on the other. Finn, who was arrested by Officer Phillips, is man of unusual muscular devel opment. and appears to be a very tough character. The men were successful in having four checks cashed, and tried several more. " So careless were the men in their swindling operations that in the Sun nyside saloon they wrote out two checks, signing them openly with the name of C. C. Maaten. The bartender tore up the checks and told the men that they would land In the peniten tiary, a prediction that seems quite likely' to be fulfilled. . ' ' PROPERTT BEING REDEEMED.
