the Austrian specialist, arrived in Chi
cago today for the purpose of removing
the cast from the leg of Lolita Armour,
the young daughter of J. Ogden Ar
mour upon whom an operation for con
genital dislocation of the hip was per
form el last October. The limb was
found to be In perfect condition and
the patient was able to walk around
the house without any difficulty.; The
operation was a complete success, said

unmistakable evidences cf hoar frost
on the moon, strengthening the pre

and killed by his neighbor, Edward
Rowse a bookkeeper, for an alleged In
sult offered by Hallock to Rowse's wife
When Rowse went to the Hallock home
and demanded an apology from Hallok
the latter angrily denied the charge. A
short time afterward, aa Rowse was
conversing with a friend In the street
In front of Hallock'a house, the latter
appeared at the front door with a shot
gun to his hand. Rowse immediately
opened fire on him, fatally wounding
Hallock. As he fell. Hallock fired one
shot from his gun wounding Rowse In
the arm. Rowse has been placed un
der arrest.

Elisabeth, N. J., April 16.-Edward
Burbank. 13 years old, while In the
street attempting to catch some wood
which was drifting down the gutter,
stepped upon a live wire which had
fallen during the storm. The wire I
colled about him and he was burned '
to death in the sight of several persons
who were attracted by bis screams
and did not dare to go near him for
fear of being shocked.
