Crane the drummer temper ance evangelist, have resulted in 4S signing the pledge during fhe two evenings.- Mr. Crane to an Interesting and forceful speaker, and is making many friends in the city. j - Another case of smallpox has devel oped, that of Wm. Beck, on Seventh street. As there has been so much ex posure from this and other-cases before being quarantined, many more are ex pected to be -reported. In the five cas es now in the city, the disease is of a ;very mild form. - W eat port has never had a church ) and has no church members, but as the result, of a" meeting" no w being held there the people have Jonated some choice lots, sufficient lumber and over $100 in money for the purpose of erec ting a church. Harrison, lately char tered by him for service in sound wat ers. He brought with him Captain Mc Williams and Engineer Wooley, who will take the steamer around as soon as the weather permits.
