One of these, however, will have to be withdrawn. The papers of Joseph A. Conry, con gressman, are marked "Democratic National." NAMED FOR FOURTH TERM. DETROIT, Oct. 17. Mayor William A. Maybury was today nominated by the Democratic city convention for a fourth term. . HOMESEEKERS ARE COMING. Oregon and Texas Objective Foints of Thousands of People. CHICAGO, Oct. 17. A mammoth homeseekers' excursion will run from Centralis, 111., next Tuesday in charge of G. L. McKinney, land and immi gration agent for the Harriman lines. The homeseekers will be taken at the Southern Paelflc's expense to the rice and cotton fields of Texas. The effort which the Harriman lines are making to colonize Texas and the Southwest Is meeting with marked success. Tons of literature are being scat tered broadcast over the country and it is asserted that many thousands are turning their gaze to Texas or Oregon, and are settling there. and after that national self govern ment will speedily come to Ireland."
