NEW TORK. An. !S.-The shah of
Persia who leaves today for the con

seriously and Industriously durlns; his
short stay, says a Tribune dispatch
from London. He has had more than
one onrortuntty of observing how the
sipht of royalty appeals to a Lonlin
crowd. It Is too soon yet to estimate
the political consequences of his visit,
but England's chance of Improving
her Intercourse and influence with Per
sia was never more favorable than it
Is today, and T.ord T-sndown will
doubtless endeavor to secure better
ttrms for British commerce In the
Shah's dominions. At present Russia
heads the list of exports nnd imports
with M per cent of the values, while
England comes n bad second with only
!4 per cent.
