operation and friendliness between the
large corporations and their employes.
A recent conspicuous example was In
the voluntary advance of wages by the
United State Steel Corporation which
will amount to the annual distribution
unions Its employes of KMO.OOO. A still
more recent "example was the advance
!n wages of from 5 to 15 per cent or
dered by the Atchison, Topeka & San
ta Fe railroad.
Several of the large manufacturing
companies in the East are vieing with
each other as to which can do the
most for their employes In the way cf
personal comfort and convenience while
In the factory and at their homes.
The Evening Leader of New Haven,
